Bouteloua dactayloides or Buffalograss, is an attractive, fine textured, low water use native grass that grows three to six inches tall. Buffalograss is exceptionally cold and drought tolerant and has no known disease or insect problems.

Drought resistant, short grass in the mix prairies and throughout the Great Plains and the Southwest. Is usually less than 6 inches tall and typical of dry, short-grass plains. Blue Gramma is commonly planted as turfgrass mixed with Buffalograss.
